Privacy notice for the waitlist

Who we are
The Empire 47 waitlist is run by Hertge VOF, President Kennedylaan 154, 2343 GV Oegstgeest, the Netherlands (Chamber of Commerce no. 88251918) ("we"). We are the data controller. Contact: [email protected].
What we collect
- Your email address.
- The home state you choose (or "Outside the USA").
- The invite code you used, if a friend sent you a link, and the name of the ad campaign that brought you, if any.
- The country your connection comes from, as reported by our hosting provider. We do not store your IP address.
Why we use it
To tell you when the closed beta opens, to send you news about Empire 47, to count sign-ups per state for the leaderboard (only totals are shown, never names or emails), and to see which ads work. We rely on your consent, which you give by ticking the box. You can withdraw it at any time.
Who we share it with
Only with the services that run the waitlist for us: Cloudflare (hosting and database) and our email provider (to send the confirmation and beta emails). We never sell your data.
How long we keep it
Until the game launches and the beta invitations are sent, and at most 24 months, unless you create a player account. You can ask us to delete it sooner.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or to stop receiving emails, by writing to [email protected]. Every email has an unsubscribe link. If you live in the EU or UK you may also complain to your data protection authority (in the Netherlands: the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens). If you live in California, you have the right to know, delete and opt out under the CCPA; we do not sell or share personal information for advertising.
Children
The waitlist is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Empire 47 is an independent fan game. It is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by any public figure, company, campaign or political party.
